Sapphire and Melvyn’s Engagement shoot a Butterley Grange Mansion.

Meet the lovely Sapphire and Melvyn, the winners of this competition to win their wedding at Butterley Grange Mansion in Riply Derbyshire. It is a lovely Versace styled venue with a pool its very own nightclub.  I had the pleasure of shooting a lovely little bridal shoot there at the end of last year, which you can see here on my blog or here on Adore by Chloe.

The weather wasn’t prefect but we are British after all and a little bit of cold and drizzle isn’t going to stop us! I can’t wait until their beautiful wedding is so sounds wonderful.

Save the Date – Wedding Event With a Difference at Nottingham Conference Center

On Sunday 22nd April I had a wonderful day at the Save the Date Magazine’s Wedding Event with a Difference. It did in fact live up to the name and was a very different wedding event, there was a fantastic vibe and amazing atmosphere! It wasn’t your usual stuffy wedding fayre there was lots of zones, a fantastic catwalk and interesting interactive things for people to do!

I met lots of lovely brides and grooms to be! In fact it was so busy I was extremely thankful that my very good friend Imogen had agreed to help me. I managed to run around at the end and take a few snaps to show you some of the  lovely suppliers and their beautiful displays.  There were many more that I didn’t get a chance to meet or photograph but you can see a list of everyone here.

It was a great day and I can’t wait for the next one in October.

1940′s Photoshoot at Abbeywood Estate Delamere. Part 1

On a very cold but sunny day in February, I had the pleasure of working with some very talented people, we all came together to produce this stunning 1940′s inspired shoot. The original inspiration for the shoot was my Six-20 Folding Brownie from the 1940′s, and we built the idea from there. The very talented Eleanor from Elouise Designs who created the beautiful stationary for the shoot, had some amazing ideas including the grow your own wedding, twist and supplied the lovely 1940′s postbox. Perfect for cards at your wedding. Together we created a moodboard and I started story boarding the shoot.

Big Little Things saw my vision on paper an transformed it into reality, Sarah and Fran from Big Little Things, make up a very talented team who create everything from Cakes to Tiaras. Our lovely model Florence, braved the cold for us after being transformed by the fantastic Nicola, Florence was fantastic and looked stunning in the Amanda Wyatt gowns kindly lent to us by Wedding Belles Bridal Boutique in Frodsham.  Finally Vicky from Victoria Rose China tied everything together supplying her lovely china for the shoot. Vicky is part of The Wedding House in Liverpool, after the fun Vicky had on this shoot we did it all again we them last week with a Jubilee theme! You can see the behind the scenes here.

The Amanda Wyatt gowns really worked with our theme, after the WW2 clothes rationing was still in effect up to 1949, this had an impact on the style of wedding gowns. 1940′s wedding gowns where slim fitting and fabric was kept to a minimum.  During the planning of this shoot I did lots of research and even found my Granny and Grandad’s wedding album, they married in 1949, and their wedding photos were featured in the shoot.  Clothing wasn’t the only product that was rationed food was also still rationed, which is why we also included the Grow Your Own theme. We wanted it to look like everything could have been gathered from your garden. The beautiful place cards also have a lovely little plant pot attached, this is seed paper, which guests can take home and plant in their own gardens.
